The way you think - what you do - what you read - what you consume, all of those things contribute to how you view your world.
If you are dissatisfied with your life right now or just find more negative experiences than anything, then that is what you will seek out in the world.
Even though those things generally do just come up out of the blue, and usually from some internal experience or past experience that may have happened in life. You get to dictate how you feel in your world.
Saying that, if you find that you are intentionally grateful for every experience you have right now (even some of the negative ones that bring you positive life results), or find more positive experiences in your life in general, then you will seek out more of those in your world and more of those feelings of gratefulness as well.
Your thoughts truly create your reality.
If you want your reality to change from meh & blah to heck yeah & joyful, then you have to have the discipline to change how you think and what you do and what you watch, so that you can cultivate the life that you want to live.
And in that my friends, is joyful.
