This is the story about that time when I was almost used as a body double.

Way back in September of 2021, I was selected to be a body double for an actress for a TV show on a streaming service.

As per my paperwork that is all I can really say, even if the show is already out.

For those that don't know, a body double is basically a stand-in for a movie actor or actress during either a stunt or a Naked scene where the actor’s face is not shown.

What I was personally doing was half naked and half not a particular scene. They had given me pasties to put over my nipples, and they also gave me bandless underwear to put on - both were skin tone. And All new of course. Plus the costume that the actress was also wearing. Like she had one on and I had one on, not the same one.

But also, to keep me warm and cosy and not exposed, they gave me a sweat suit to wear in preparation before they would ever use me as a body double.

Now we're going to talk about the most part because this was a feeling kind of thing that occurred and I was like this is cool.

Anyways, I was watching her act on a monitor, to make sure that I got all of the motions correct based on the different cues that would have been given. As I was watching, and after they did a couple of takes, there was this last take that she did for the shot. And it was amazing! I felt all of the sparky this-is-it kind of energy coming from it.

At that moment I knew that they would not need me. And they told me that literally seconds after I saw that shot.

So I may not have been the actual body double or used in that particular show, but it was still quite an experience and I would 100% do it again.
