Oleanna - Carol
This Monologue was such a challenge for me for so many reasons.
But on this last take, I chose to look at myself on my phone’s screen, and this performance was the product of a solid 18 days of rigorous work on memorising & implementing. Enjoy :)
Maggie Bell - FBI (Show)
This monologue, while did take me a while to get into, was something similar that I had done before in a scene study class. I tried to convey the emotions as best that I could, and I tried to have compassion for both the character I was playing and the character that I was intentionally backing up. Enjoy! :)
Melinda - Virgin River (Show)
This monologue, while very simple and short, I still felt very much a lot of imposter syndrome with it. It was a lot of the mindset of “I want this to be good, I want my intentions as an actor to be seen, and I want to be bigger” - and I wrote that in the notes in my submission. The actor who was helping, basically told me “no, stop it, stop thinking like that”, its more about the intentions as the character and less as what I said. It actually helped me change my perspective. I believe that I will be integrating that going forward. :)
